Oasis-Agri Australia was conceived after a chance encounter with Francis Yeatman, a visionary in the field of organic soil science who had created a unique soil catalyst called Oasis 88.
Oasis 88’s unique composition of organic carboxylic acids addresses common soil issues, releases trapped nutrients and reduces fertiliser and herbicide requirements.
Upon further research, we identified many similarities in climate and soil conditions (e.g. salinity) in Australia, and more importantly, could not find a similar product on offer locally.
We were also encouraged by the fact that Oasis 88 was effective across a wide range of crops and complemented modern farming practices such as regenerative agriculture.
Out research also uncovered that agriculture was evolving and adopting technologies normally associated with other industries such the financial services sector.
This adoption is now past the ‘early adopter’ stage, and it’s only a matter of time before technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, autonomous drones and sensors become ubiquitous.
We also realised that no matter how successful Oasis 88 has been in South Africa that local trials, accredited whitepapers and case studies would be needed to reach the majority of the market.
To that end we have partnered with a number of respected experts in the field as well as universities around Australia to conduct testing on various soils types, soil issues and crop types.
So our intent is ultimately to offer a next generation solution that farmers can use to model different approaches to supporting long term regenerative, environmentally sound and sustainable agriculture.
We also believe that in restoring our soils we can help reverse the decline in nutrition observed over the past few decades and contribute to the health of the nation.
